Groups are simply how we refer to any "feed" in havn. they can be run like a traditional group where everyone posts, or more like a FB / IG page where only the admins can post.
Your feed is made up entirely of groups. it's the foundation of our app. so make sure to browse through our groups, join some, and even start your own!
connect is basically a message request. the person you want to DM has to approve your connect request before you can send them a message.
follow means you will be notified when the person posts. Follow doesn't mean their posts show up in your feed. only groups you join will show up in your feed.

What is a Founder's Club Member?
the only groups in your feed initially will be "start here" and "havn official".
start here is used to help new members get oriented & won't have new posts.
havn official is where we post updates, new features & announcements.
to see more things in your feed, click the plus symbol at the top right of your screen & join some groups.
follow doesn't mean the same thing on havn as other platforms. we use the word join instead.
to see things in your feed you'll need to "join" groups, not follow them.
follow will just notify you of a person's activity, but all of it won't neces.

havn is a platform that hosts other communities, because of that, please respect the rules of each group you join. Admins are responsible for moderating their own groups. we have agreements with admins to not allow posts that go against the bible.
promotional posts, invites to dm, sign up for email lists, fundraisers etc, are not allowed unless it is your group or you're a founding member.
no. that is one of the biggest reasons we created this space. we want to be a havn - a safe place - where women can be online away from the negativity, agenda, and algorithm of mainstream media.
with havn, you see what you want to see & nothing more. And if you have your own group, your members see all of your posts too. it's a win, win.
THIS IS A TRICKY QUESTION. WE DON'T CENSOR TO PUSH OUR OWN AGENDA, OR KEEP PEOPLE FROM HAVING THEIR OWN OPINIONS. RESPECTFUL CONVERSATIONS ARE WELCOMED.

our vision is to give christian women a safe place to connect online away from all of the stress & overwhelm of mainstream social media.
a place where business owners, leaders, writers & podcasters can build audiences without having to worry about an ever-changing algorithm. where they can speak about their convictions & faith without being banned, and where their followers will see all of their posts.
havn was created to be a safe place on the internet. A place to meet new like-hearted friends and connect with ones you already have.
the best way we've found to keep havn a quiet peaceful place is to keep it ad & algorithm free.
We want you to see everything you want to see, and nothing more.
to keep our app the havn we want it to be, we charge a small subscription fee to each of our members in lieu of selling ads.

ABSOLUTELY!!!
if we were launching a new community, we'd only launch on havn, but since we still have a large community on facebook. we are using our fb group as an optin in our sales funnel & a way for people on fb to be introduced to our ministry. our fb group is free & we use it to gather emails & cultivate community.
We now use our havn groups as "premium paid" group with exclusive content, courses, downloads, bonus videos & more! it works really great!

Does the Start Here bring that up every time, or just the first time?
How do notifications work? Can we add them to keep our members involved?
Can I make some content secret & make it visible on a certain date?
there isn't a way for us to turn off the group after a certain time period, so it will still be there. But, it's a static page that won't be making more posts, so it won't fill up your feed.
As members join more groups, the start here & havn official groups will move to the right and won't be the focus of anyone's feeds.
Absolutely! as we created Havn, having the ability to turn on notifications & send push notifications was a high priority.
our app has an extremely high retention & activity rate. Many people build communities on wordpress/ desktop only sites & end up giving up because people don't remember to come back. having our own app enables us to stay top of mind with intuitive notifications.
Yes you can. When you host your community / content on havn, you'll have your very own community concierge. They'll work with you to set up all of your content, courses, community group, release dates & more.
Do we as admins control/censor our own groups, or is there any over reach from Havn directly?
How do we get our content/course on the platform? Can we manage that ourselves?
I noticed there is an MLM question in the application. Are MLM groups allowed?
we have a pretty strict vetting process on who we approve to host groups & content on havn. we want to ensure that those using the platform are also rooted in the bible. because of that, we have great trust in our group admins, and therefore don't overreach and moderate inside your communities. our admins agree to remove posts that go against the bible in their groups & we trust they will.
EVERY GROUP ADMIN HAS A CONTENT CONCIERGE. WE HAVE A VERY STREAMLINED UPLOADING SYSTEM, AND THEY WORK WITH YOU TO GET EVERYTHING SETUP EXACTLY THE WAY YOU WANT IT. NO TECH KNOWLEDGE NEEDED!

SINCE HAVN IS AN APP & YOU'RE SIGNED IN ALL THE TIME, HAVING JUST ONE PERSONAL ACCOUNT IS PERFECT. YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE GROUPS FOR YOUR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL PAGES, BUT THEY ARE ALL UNDER ONE ACCOUNT.
FOR EXAMPLE, OUR FOUNDER HAS A PERSONAL GROUP PAGE FOR SHARING HER PERSONAL LIFE, AND SEVERAL BUSINESS & COMMUNITY GROUPS. SHE CAN POST TO ALL OF THEM FROM THE SAME ACCOUNT WITHOUT HAVING TO SIGN OUT & BACK IN.
We support PDF's, JPG's, PNG files, audio files via mp3 & video files via MP4
YOU OWN YOUR CONTENT, NOT US. THIS IS A GIANT RED FLAG WITH MAINSTREAM SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. AS A MOM, IT REALLY BOTHERS ME THAT BIG TECH BASICALLY OWNS OUR IMAGES. THIS IS WHY I DON'T POST MUCH OF MY FAMILY ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

How easy / accessible is it to get to the group? We had wix and our members got super frustrated getting past like 18 buttons just to get to our group. How hard is it for our members to find our group?
